Biggots still exist in this world! Today I got a reminder of that. I walked into a public bathroom this morning to be greeted by graffitti (which is nothing unusual, I know). But this graffitti was like no other, it was slamming gay people and it made me feel a bit pissed off. I know I shouldnt take it as a 'personal attack', but this is a group I'm part of so it cuts a bit. It suggested that gay people are unnatural, sick and perverted. It made me wonder just how many people feel that way. Being gay is something that I sometimes have trouble accepting myself but to feel hated for any reason because of it, makes it even harder.
The only consolation that I had, was the thought that obviously this guy is a coward as he needs to write his display of lack of acceptance on a toilet wall (with the door locked) and that he probably wouldn't have the guts to open his mouth in public and say how he felt. I also wonder if this guy even KNOWS any gay people or has ever had a bad experience with any and I doubt that very much. It's sad that some people feel the need to be nasty and judgemental towards groups of people who are different in this world, without even knowing them (this also applies big time to racism). It would be nice to feel as though we lived in a world where people accept eachother. I like to think that maybe the silent majority do, thay better *shakes fist* :D
