I know it's been a while but I feel in a Blogging mood.. About time! lol..
So today I want to talk briefly about realising something that should have been obvious.. I enjoy weight training, I stopped taking supplements cos I hit on one that made me gain fat too fast and I looked no good and since then have just had the good diet happening to try get my intake of essential nutrients for growth. i have been proud of that.. But.. Its always bugged me how the hell is it even possible to get all the protein required etc through my food intake, without gaining fat and other nasties? Most protein rich food pushes my daily fat intake through the roof! The conclusion I always came to was that it can't be done and that I would just have to put up with the fat and go though a cut down phase eventually to get rid of the excess and keep the muscle.. Than I watch a YouTube vid from one of my fave personal trainers and SHABANG it all made sense. Even though I had become totally against supplements (except creatine) taking them (in a natural form- not some sugar filled concoction promising fat loss muscle hard gains etc bla bla bla) does make perfect sense afterall!
It IS NOT possible for me to get all my protein without eating non stop and eating fatty crap, so the answer is a protein supplement! The idea is that it gives you exactly the protein that you need to grow, without any of the fat etc that you don't need- so problem solved! The same goes for the Omega 3 and Glutamine that's needed daily, it must come from a source other that food as it's near impossible to eat that much food in a day AND doing so would result in massive mercury levels and fat etc not good at all. So now that I know what to believe on supplements now, I shall go shopping this week for some natural supplements and kick start my muscle gains again, there's nothing more motivating than doing something new at the gym and really wanting/ MAKING it work- Looking forward to it :D
