Random Weekend and the First Sleepover

I decided to mix things up a bit this weekend and visit my parents on Saturday for the afternoon and dinner (rather than the usual Sunday) as my new guy interest was coming over for his very first sleepover with me on Saturday night and I was really looking forward to it. The week had been going heaps well, I saw him the Thurday prior than again on Sunday night, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week (which had been awesome!). So the sleepover was to top it off, but unfortunately as he is still sick and wasn't feeling well all day he had to cancel.

I was bummed at the news, but settle for a chat online instead so we could spend time together. Part way through our chat, I remembered that I had to take Monday off for my uncles funeral and that Sunday would be a possible sleep over night as a result, so I offered and he said yes (wohoo!). Sunday morning I woke up early and went food shopping, gym and washed my car before returning home to greet him mid morning and start the first 24 hours we had ever spent together. At midday we head off for a bushwalk as there was this abanoned track he was eager to find. He ended up finding it and we followed it to a rock that has been closed off for about 62 years. His goal is to climb it at some point soon, using some old rickety stairs that still exist (well, half exist) and we hope to do that sometime soon. We also did a bit of walking around the rock and down a slope (which I found a bit hard as it was slippery and my shoes sucked, but I managed to get there).

Afterwards we were both exhausted so we had a nap than went out to Korean for dinner before returning to mine for some Drawn Together dvds and than bed for our very first sleep over together. The next day he left late morning just before I head off with my parents to go into the city for the funeral. It was a great day and night with him, I'm glad we finally got the chance to do it. It seems like so long since we first suggested it, but it was worth the wait. So now he wants to do it again (big head swell for me). I'm really glad that things are going so well with us. The amount of time that he has been coming over (and texting more etc) has made me feel that he is starting to like me more and open up. I have to say though, I was heaps quiet on the weekend but I feel I was just exhausted and sometimes I'm just content being quiet. I've tried not to read into it too much or beat myself up for being quiet as I feel its just a once off thing. Regardless of all that, we are getting a lot more comfortable together, which is great, so I hope things continue to go well :)

Off topic a little, I think my number one worry at the moment is new guy being sick still. He's on daily pain killers and has had a bleeding ear etc and its just not a good situation. So I just want to put it out there in the universe that he's a great guy and I want the best for him and for him and hope that doctors can find out whats wrong and treat it so that he gets better heaps soon and continues to live a great life of health :) x
